A calm, structured way to regain financial clarity.
ISM provides independent financial perspective for founders when cashflow feels tighter and decisions start to carry more risk. Our approach is structured, practical, and designed to reduce noise — not add complexity.
Start with a one-off diagnostic
This is a focused, one-off conversation designed to help you step back, sense-check what the numbers are really saying, and decide what matters most next.
It is often most useful during growth, transition, or periods where decisions feel uncomfortable despite “having reports”.
ISM engagements are offered on a discretionary, advisory basis and do not constitute ongoing employment or regulated financial services.
Before the session
IYou don’t need perfect data. To keep this light and practical, we’ll typically ask for a small set of information (only what you already have), for example:
- basic context on your business model and recent changes
- current cash position and any near-term concerns
- recent management numbers (if available)
- any questions or decisions you’re currently facing
If documents are limited, the session can be discussion-led.s no longer enough, but full-time finance leadership is not yet required.
During the session
We work through your situation calmly and methodically.
The session is conversational — not interrogative..
We focus on:
- the clearest next steps to support confident decisions
- what’s driving cash pressure (timing, costs, commitments)
- what is genuinely risky vs what simply feels uncertain
- what to prioritise now — and what can safely wait
After the session
You receive a short written summary covering:
- key observations and pressure points
- priority areas to focus on (2–3 maximum)
- decision risks to be aware of
- practical next steps
The goal: better judgement and clearer decisions — not more spreadsheets.
Finance Health & Risk Review (UK SMEs)
A focused review for UK SMEs when cash feels tight or decisions start to feel heavier.
We sense-check cashflow reality, identify key financial pressure points, and highlight practical risks.
You receive a short written summary with priorities and next steps.
Advisory only — not bookkeeping, filings, or tax advice.
What ISM is / isn’t
ISM is:
- independent financial judgement
- decision support when things feel unclear
- calm cashflow sense-checking and prioritisation
ISM isn’t:
- bookkeeping or transactional finance
- VAT, accounts filing or compliance work
- tax advice
- replacing your accountant
- complex modelling projects
What happens next
If it’s helpful, we can discuss whether ongoing support makes sense.
There’s no default commitment.
Many founders simply use the diagnostic to regain clarity — and move forward with confidence.
